Student Spotlight: Vivian and Lily Nguyen
These two sisters enjoy piano lessons at East Valley Yamaha Music School. Here's a Q&A about their experience playing piano!
Q: How long have you played the piano?
Lily: I think I've played the piano since I was four.
Vivian: Um, I played it a lot of times.
Q: What is your favorite song to play?
Lily: My favorite song to play is Minuet in G Minor.
Vivian: Let's Go on an Expedition.
Q: What do you like about that song?
Lily: I like that song because it's beautiful.
Vivian: Because it's too bouncy on the left hand and the right hand is not bouncy.
Q: What do you like the most about Yamaha?
Lily: Playing music, and learning. Having fun in the office and playing with my friends and with my cousins.
Vivian: Um, I don't know. I play piano and I like to play with my sister.
Q: What is your favorite subject in school?
Lily: Math, humanities, engineering, art. I think that's it.
Vivian: Uh... I don't know.
Q: What do you like to do with your friends?
Lily: Play hide and seek, watch videos on their phone. That's basically it.
Vivian: Play and I like to play music with them.
Q: How often do you practice piano?
Lily: I think I practice piano like almost every day. I don't know for how long.
Vivian: I practice a bunch of times. Many times.
Q: Do you like to perform in front of an audience?
Lily: Not really. Because it's scary.
Vivian: Yes! Because I get to be on stage.
Q: What is your favorite book?
Lily: Peter Pan.
Vivian: Peter and the Wolf.
